We’re DF Capital – a specialist bank providing award-winning commercial finance, retail finance, and savings products to consumers and small businesses.
Based in Manchester, we serve thousands of customers across the UK and into Europe, supporting their ambitions with tailored financial solutions.
We help our customers realise their ambitions by doing things differently – combining the agility and innovation of a specialist lender with the security and service standards of a regulated bank. Whether it’s flexible lending structures or straightforward savings options, we focus on what matters most to our customers.
In 2025, we launched DF Capital Retail Finance – a subsidiary of DF Capital Bank Limited – to offer specialist hire purchase solutions to retail customers.

Becoming a bank
In 2020 we became a fully authorised bank and started offering a range of consumer savings products.
We’ve been recognised for our customer service and customer satisfaction levels, winning several Trusted Service Awards and receiving an Exceptional Service badge from Feefo from independently verified reviews. The deposits we receive directly fuel our commercial lending, so our savers are directly impacting the growth of UK businesses. We have received consistently positive customer satisfaction scores as measured independently by feefo.
In 2024, we received an average service rating of 4.8/5 from over 1,300 verified customer reviews and, for the second year running, were recognised with Platinum Trusted Service Award from Feefo.
Where did it all begin?
“DF” stands for distribution finance. It’s the core offering we began providing when we were founded in 2016, and it’s what we continue to offer today.
This specialist form of finance is about supporting dealers, distributors and manufacturers with funding to stock, display and demonstrate their products by minimising the impact on cash flow. As they say, cash is king – it’s what helps businesses thrive and grow.
Since 2016 we’ve provided over £5bn of funding across a diverse range of sectors and product types. From motorhomes and caravans to plant and machinery. Holiday lodges and motorbikes to tractors and forklift trucks. No planes or trains (yet) but we’ve certainly funded lots of automobiles in various shapes and sizes. Although we’ve just named two, it’s quite hard to find things we haven’t funded.

We’re on a mission to become the best bank around – for our customers and for each other.
