DF Capital Bank confirms landmark move to iconic Manchester office
DF Capital, the Manchester-headquartered specialist bank providing working capital solutions and retail savings products across the UK, has confirmed plans to relocate its headquarters to one of the city’s most recognisable buildings—The Express Building in the Northern Quarter— this Autumn.
The move sees the bank take a ten-year lease on approximately 23,000 sq ft of space across two floors in the Grade II-listed Art Deco building, originally constructed in 1939 as the headquarters of the Daily Express, then the world’s most-read newspaper.
The relocation is a strategic step in DF Capital’s ongoing growth and expansion journey. It provides a significantly larger, modern workspace that will enable closer collaboration, enhance innovation, and accommodate the company’s growing team. The new headquarters also reflect the bank’s deep and ongoing commitment to Manchester as its home—cementing its position as the only specialist bank to base its head office in the heart of the city.

The office move also aligns with DF Capital’s sustainability ambitions. The Express Building offers improved environmental credentials compared to the current office, with an EPC Rating of ‘B’ and a BREEAM In Use rating of ‘Very Good’—supporting the bank’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
